About Us/
NAOH (nā-o) is a local Sydney-based skin care brand that makes small-batch, hand poured soap bars.
The idea of NAOH emerged from our personal need for a beautiful yet simple range of skin care products that are free from harsh, unnecessary chemicals and ingredients.
The NAOH philosophy is grounded in clean simplicity. The range has an ingredient deck that includes only what is necessary to refresh, revitalise and nourish the skin.
With this in mind, we have created a luxurious blend of no more than 12 ingredients in each soap bar. Rich in natural, sustainably sourced ingredients that provide unique skin benefits that are perfect for your mind, body and soul as you enjoy the soft aromas of each blend.
Because our soap bars are hand poured, subtle variations will always occur. This means no two bars are ever the same and is why every NAOH soap bar is absolutely perfect in its own way!

Why NAOH/
The significance of our name, NAOH Skincare (aka Sodium Hydroxide) is the only chemical compound found within our luxurious soap bar range simply because we cannot create the saponification process without it.
Why? It all comes down to chemistry! The chemical process where plants and oils are mixed with NAOH and water to form a reaction that leads to ‘Saponification’ or as we like to call it SOAP!
NAOH Skincare uses a variety of premium oils such as Shea Butter and Coconut Oil just to name a few, combined with lye (Sodium Hydroxide / NAOH) to magically form our beautiful soap bars.
Our Promise/
Working in the beauty industry for more than 20 years, I have been extremely privileged to hold senior positions with some of Australia’s leading makeup brands, such as Napoleon Perdis and Kryolan Professional Makeup.
However, there comes a time in everyone’s life when you need to break free and walk your own path. For me, that path is sharing my passion for creating simple, beautiful, and natural skincare products of the highest quality.
But NAOH is so much more than just beautiful soap bars. It’s about providing each and every customer with a beautiful experience. That means everything we do has to be beautiful. From the simplicity of placing your order online, to the look and feel of the packaging in your hand, it’s all part of the NAOH experience.
